Не удается запустить установку антивируса Avast

Проблема: С официального сайта загружен дистрибутив avast_pro_antivirus_setup.exe, однако при запуске открывается окно "Corrupted avast! Antivirus detected" с сообщением "The installer has detected corrupted avast! Antivirus installation on this computer (service 'aswSP' is running), thus the installer cannot continue. Please repair your computer first."

Причина: Остатки предыдущей версии Avast (была некорректно удалена)

Решение: Скачать и запустить Uninstall Utility от разработчика ПО -  http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility
После перезагрузки установка должна начаться без проблем.

После публикации статьи «Как вручную удалить Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) из 32-разрядной системы Windows 2000, XP или 2003» я получил несколько писем с  вопросами о том, как удалить SEP из Windows Vista и Windows 7. Действительно, методика удаления антивируса из этих систем имеет некоторые особенности связанные с удалением драйвера Teefer.
Вы можете воспользоваться утилитой CleanWipe_v12.1.zip от компании Symantec для автоматического удаления SAV и SEP, однако в некоторых случаях может понадобиться ручное удаление драйвера Teefer перед запуском этой утилиты.
Описанные ниже шаги могут затронуть работоспособность других продуктов Symantec. Рекомендуется предварительно удалить их через Установку и удаление программ, прежде чем приступать к удалению SEP.
Ручное удаление SEP должно выполняться под учетной записью Администратора. О том, как включать и отключать учетную запись Администратора, можно прочитать в статье Microsoft TechNet.

Для удаления Symentec Endpoint Protection можно воспользоваться фирменной утилитой от Symantec - CleanWipe_v12.1.zip. Однако в некоторых случаях после ее использования перестают работать сетевые подключения. Это связано с некорректным удалением драйвера teefer2 и невозможностью восстановления некоторых ключей реестра, измененных при установке SEP. Для ручного удаления антивируса и восстановления исходных значений ключей реестра можно воспользоваться приведенной ниже инструкцией. Замечу, что удаление SEP из Windows Vista, 2008 и 7 имеет отличия.
Описанные ниже шаги могут затронуть работоспособность других продуктов Symantec. Рекомендуется предварительно удалить их через "Установку и удаление программ", прежде чем приступать к удалению SEP.

How to fix and rebuild corrupted definitions for a Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) client.

Instructions for 32-bit Operating Systems:

For Windows 2000/2003/XP

1. Stop the Symantec Endpoint Protection Services:
2. Click Start, Run, typing in smc -stop, and pushing Enter.
3. 1. Click the Start button and then click Run
   2. Type services.msc and click OK
   3. Right-click Symantec Endpoint Protection and click Stop.
   4. Minimize the Services window
      
      Note: If you are unable to stop the Symantec Management Client you will need to temporarily disable Tamper Protection. Please see the Technical Information at the bottom of this document for instructions.
4. Delete the data from the Definition folders:
   • Virus Definitions
     C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\VirusDefs\
     - Delete all files and subfolders
   • Delete the downloaded data in the "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Liveupdate\downloads"
    
5. Delete the data from the registry:
   1. Click the Start button and then click Run
   2. Type regedit and click OK
   3. Navigate to:
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\SharedDefs
   4. Delete the following values:
      1. SRTSP
      2. NAVCORP_70
      3. DEFWATCH_10
      4. SepCache3
      5. SepCache2
      6. SepCache1
6. Restart the Symantec Endpoint Protection Services stopped in the previous step, 3.c.
7. Click Start, Run, type in smc -start, and push Enter.
8. 1. Maximize the Services window.
   2. Right-click Symantec Endpoint Protection service and click Start.
